There was a young snake who boasted about how much he could eat. One day, he slithered across the open plains hunting for a meal. He surprised a small buck, struck out and killed it. ' This is a better size for a snake such as me ! Lizards and rats are for children", the snake said to himself.. The snake began his feast. First, he opened his mouth wide, but only the nose fitted in. ' I can eat a buck " , he boasted to the winds. So, he stretched his mouth wider..…...then wider ...... until he swallowed the whole buck down. To his horror, his mouth would not go back to its neat little line. It was stuck forever in an enormous angry smile. His friends laughed . The winds laughed ."Who is boasting now?" They chuckled
