The Sticky Fingers ( part I ) Kanu was a dishonest wicked hunter who had a smart hound dog . Kanu was selfish and over ambitious . He was a con man and the dirtiest rotten scoundrel in the village . He had all the dirty tricks of this world up his sleeves . One day, the king makers wanted to crown somebody the king of the hunters. The only condition to be fulfilled was to get the lap of the royal antelope with the royal birthmark . The mark was under the skin in the left limb, so the antelope would have to be killed and skinned before the birthmark could be seen . In fact, this made every antelope a target . All the hunters went into the bush. Obianika was a very good hunter. He was gentle , honest and straight with people. He shot an antelope and after skinning it, he saw the royal mark but kept quiet. This was because he didn't want to be proud . Kanu stole the antelope lap and replaced it with his own. Kanu hanged the royal antelope lap over the fire place and ordered his faithful dog to look after it . Kanu ran into the village and quickly announced that he had the left limb of the antelope with the royal birthmark . The dog squatted on its hindquarters and looked at the hanging limb . A whiff of the smell made the dogs nose damp and cooler .
