When the students met for the next term , Taiwo was never mentioned by his friends. They didn't forget him , but they all felt so unhappy about his working with thieves that they all decided not to discuss with him . Chidi threw herself into her studies with such keen interest that the teachers could scarcely believe she was the same girl . Dupe who used to be arrogant during the previous term, was very quiet this term , but it was a contented quietness. Early in the term , the two girls were lying on the grass , watching a football match between the fourth year and fifth year students. The match ended in a draw. As they were lying on the grass, chidi said , " Dupe what do you think we should do about Aisha's case ?" I think it's necessary to report the case to her parents, though she begged us not to let her parents know about the incident. No parent will be happy to hear that a child of their's was caught stealing. This is the first time she has been caught in the act and the earlier the parents know about it the better " " I'm of the same opinion, maybe there are some steps they can take to nip it in the bud " Chidi added that Aisha should be told of their decision. " She surely will not like us for it but she should know that we have the best interest at heart " A few days later, Aisha's parents came to see the school counselor on their way out to see Dupe and Chidi. Aisha's parents thanked them profusely and appreciated them for not covering up the incident. " With the help of God, proper counseling, good and responsible like you , I'm sure Aisha will never yield to temptation again "her father concluded. Chidi and Dupe we're glad for their friend and hoped all would be well in the end . They hoped they would not lose any of their friends to misconduct again. Soon it was the end of 3rd term . The friends had burnt the midnight candle to make sure they passed the end of their exams . Aisha, despite her experience put everything behind her and studied diligently with her friends. The results was released on the last day of the term when parents came to take their children home , the three friends were a bit jittery about the results . Who would not be as it was a promotion exam? The beaming smile on the faces of their parents revealed that they had all passed and would be on the next class together. They hugged and congratulated one another promising to get in touch during the holiday.
